Human-wildlife conflict prevention

Conflict between people and animals is one of the main threats to the continued survival of many species in different parts of the world, and is also a significant threat to local people. Due to reduction and destruction of natural habitats of animals the issue has become more relevant and important. From December 1, NABU is starting a project to prevent conflicts between animals and humans in the Republic of Armenia. Conflict situations and problems with mammals, birds and reptiles will be studied. Based on the research, methods of solving and preventing problems will be developed and tested. On the example of Armenia, NABU plans to develop and test model proposals for the entire Caucasus region.
