The problem of white stork contamination is still actual.
The branch of Nature Protection Union (NABU) in the Republic of Armenia, which has been implementing the "Research and Conservation of White Stork" program since 2020, has undertaken to study and reveal the contamination problem among the bird species.
Thanks to laboratory studies conducted in previous years, liquid wastes used in human activity, which often fill water-bearing canals and rivers, as well as in the sewage of cities and factories, were found on the contaminated feathers of white storks.
The white stork is an indicator of environmental contaminants, and each of us is responsible for the photos attached to the article.
That is why we once again urge you NOT to pollute the environment and to throw garbage only in the designated areas.
This year, the organization continues to sample feathers, sending them for laboratory tests.
