Winter has arrived, and that means the counting of white storks has begun.
Research allows for the description of the population of wintering bird species and the wintering area.
The counting is conducted in all regions of the Republic of Armenia as part of the program "White Stork Research and Conservation".
It is worth reminding that in 2017, the first report was received stating that the plumage of white storks was "darkening." That is precisely why, since 2020, the branch of German Nature Protection Union in the Republic of Armenia has launched a program to identify the territory and reasons for contamination.
