This year, the young bearded vulture tagged with a satellite sensor is practicing its flight and maneuvering under the supervision of its parents.
The species was tagged in June within the framework of the project "Study and Protection of Birds of Prey in Armenia" implemented by the Branch of the German Nature Protection Union (NABU) in the Republic of Armenia with the support of the Ministry of environment of the Republic of Armenia.
Satellite sensor tagging aims to study local and migratory movements of species, which in turn enables more manageable conservation in the future.
And how the data obtained from satellite sensors contribute to the work of species protection, we will provide in the future.
