On August 1, the branch German Nature Protection Union (NABU) in the Republic of Armenia held a seminar-discussion in the Metsamor community within the framework of the "Protection of Wetlands in the Araxes Valley with Community Involvement" project (with the support of the Michael Otto Environmental Foundation) on the study of biodiversity in wetlands and program areas. The meeting was attended by leaders of the local municipalities of the target communities and active youth. During the event, the employees of the branch presented the ecological problems of the wetlands, their potential economic possibilities of the wetlands, the features of biodiversity and the conservation and mitigation proposals included in the management plan drawn up within the framework of the project. The event was held in an interesting atmosphere, with questions and answers and planning of future activities.
