International Vulture Awareness Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday of September.
On this day, a number of environmental organizations and individuals around the world conduct various awareness campaigns and activities to draw attention to the peculiarities of vulture species and the importance of their protection.
As in previous years, this year, the branch of German Nature Protection Union (NABU) in the Republic of Armenia, which has joined the campaign, will next week disseminate information via social pages about 4 vulture species in Armenia and their characteristics: Egyptian vulture, Bearded vulture, Eurasian griffon vulture and Cinereous vulture.
