NABU-Armenia and the Non-Governmental Organization “Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Development of Communities” (ISSD)
(ISSD) continue their close cooperation to fight the plastic waste and to shape a culture of garbage sorting in Armenia.
Within the framework of cooperation, and by the joint efforts of the two organizations, garbage sorting boxes are being installed in different institutions and during various events.
This time those boxes were placed during the annual wine festival in Areni. During the event, volunteers of NABU and ISSD were leading participants to the garbage sorting boxes instructing them to throw the garbage to the right places.
The collected plastic waste was sent for recycling.
