The staff of German Nature Protection Union (NABU) held an exchange of experience with the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB) in Sofia. During the exchange, the problems of raptor research in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus were discussed and plans for developing cooperation in these regions were developed.
After the discussions, NABU staff visited the PODA Ecological Center. The goal of the Center is to preserve wetlands and species inhabiting these areas. The visit demonstrated effective environmental strategies that can serve as a model for similar initiatives in Armenia, especially for the Khor Virap Nature Reserve.
This exchange is a prime example of the benefits of international cooperation in conservation, providing valuable insights and inspiration for protecting vital habitats and species.
