The branch of German Nature Protection Union (NABU) in the Republic of Armenia has installed a satellite sensor on a young golden eagle.
Last year, for the first time in Armenia, an organization tagged a golden eagle. It was found in an exhausted state in the adjacent neighborhoods of the town of Alaverdi. After receiving proper care, the golden eagle was tagged by the organization's specialists before being released into the wild.
This year for the first time, NABU branch in Armenia tagged a young golden eagle already in the wild.
The work was carried out within the framework of German Nature Protection Union (NABU) program “New Partnership for the Conservation of Birds of Prey in Eastern Europe”, funded by NABU International and VGP funds
We are grateful to the Ministry of Environment of RA for cooperation.
