The branch of German Nature Protection Union (NABU) in the Republic of Armenia and ACBA Federation continue the program of rural tourism development.
Armenia has great potential in the field of rural tourism, attracting tourists with its unique natural and cultural heritage. In order to promote sustainable development of this sector, we want to encourage the use and stimulate the implementation of sustainable development practices by rural hotels and guesthouses and announce the first competition - "Green Hotel".
The competition is open to existing hotels and guesthouses,
- located in rural areas,
- owned and operated by local residents,
- have a room stock of at least 5 rooms
- have implemented sustainable practices.
The amount of the cash prize is.
- 3 000 000 AMD (1st place),
- 2 000 000 AMD (2nd place),
- 1 000 000 AMD (3rd place).
The prize may be used by the winners at their discretion.
The winners will be announced on September 1, 2024.
