Yesterday, our specialists successfully installed a satellite sensor on a young Egyptian vulture.
This newly installed satellite sensor will facilitate the study of both local and migratory movements of the species, enabling more effective conservation efforts in the future.
The tagging of this species was carried out within the framework of the project "Study and Protection of Birds of Prey in Armenia," with support from the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.
It's worth noting that the program has been in operation since 2018, and as of 2021, a total of 5 Egyptian vultures and 2 bearded vultures have been tagged.
